Clark's Outpost- Tioga, TX

Today I went to Clark's Outpost in Tioga, Texas, an hour north of Dallas. I ordered the ribs, beef, and their famous fried corn. The beef was relatively dry, but the ribs were high quality. The seasoning on them was as good as you can get anywhere. The rib ends appetizer were almost as good as the ribs and it came with a lot! The fried corn was good also. Whenever you're driving north to Oklahoma, stop at this famous BBQ joint for good ribs!

Baby Back Shaq- Dallas, TX

This is not my first time at Baby Back Shaq, and they have never disappointed. As usual, I ordered the 2 meat combo with the Ribs, Sliced Beef, Corn, and Shaq BBQ Beans. The ribs were incredible as usual. They don't have an ounce of fat on them and are seasoned perfectly. The beef was good but not the best, and the beans were very good. I would reccomend getting the rib plate for anyone going to this BBQ joint.

Lockhart, TX

Kreuz Market Beef Brisket

Black's BBQ Moist Brisket and Sausage
Being the first stop on my BBQ tour, I was not disappointed by the Barbecue in Lockhart, TX. I first went to Black's BBQ and ordered the Brisket and Sausage. I ordered the brisket moist(fatty) and it was excellent. The sausage was probably the best I have ever eaten. It was surprisingly fatty and sweet. My next stop was Kreuz Market. I ordered the same thing as Black's. My opinion is that the brisket was better at Kreuz, because it had a more burnt end flavor. The sausage was still pretty good, but nonot as good as Black's. After Kreuz, I went to the Texas State BBQ Championship, where I didn't get to sample much, but what I did was great. The ribs at Pants on the Ground BBQ were some of the best I've ever had. Overall, Lockhart was a success and I hope to come back in the future.

Tomorrow I'll be heading to Lockhart, TX for the first stop on my Barbecue Journey across America. There I'll be eating Beef, Chicken, and Ribs at the BBQ Capital of Texas Championship Cook-Off. I'll also make a stop at some of their great BBQ places, such as Smitty's and Black's. I'll make sure to post about it Saturday so make sure to check back in!
